Wald & Schlosshotel Friedrichsruhe

A very nice stop in the heart of Germany, in Baden-Württemberg, 50 km from Stuttgart and Würzburg. Wald & Schlosshotel Friedrichsruhe is a 5 stars superior resort. The park is wonderful, swimming pools (indoor & outdoor) are perfect and also sauna area is well arranged. Sadly we did stop only one evening and had to have dinner at the bistrot, since the gastronomic restaurant was closed. That is one of the things I hate, so many gourmet restaurants open only Wednesday to Saturday or similar. It is always difficult to arrange a stop in a roadtrip with a good dinner on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.... Overall this is a really nice place, a bit too German and a few international, probably with a little underlevel service for a 5 star superior, but surely it is a place to visit. Must come again.
