This 5-star hotel is situated on a hill just outside the city of Guimarães. It is housed in an old monastery dating back to the 1100s. Everything evokes the magnificence of that era—the furnishings, the spaces, and even the guest rooms, which were created from the monks' original quarters and feature unique, distinctive alcoves. A beautiful garden surrounds the property, which also includes an expansive pool area. Although we didn’t dine at the restaurant, its interior spaces are equally stunning and perfectly in keeping with the hotel’s overall spirit. A truly moving experience—highly recommended for everyone.
