Château de Courcelles

The Château de Courcelles, located in Courcelles-sur-Vesle in the Hauts-de-France region, is a 4-star hotel belonging to the Relais & Châteaux chain, a name synonymous with exclusivity and luxury. It houses the restaurant La Table de Courcelles, which holds a Michelin star. The château itself is magnificent, featuring period-style decor, spiral staircases, and exquisite tapestries and paintings. It is surrounded by an expansive, impeccably maintained park. One point to note: there is no air conditioning. As it is an authentic historic château, such modern amenities were not part of the original design, and installing them would fundamentally alter the character of the interiors. Also worth mentioning: there is no elevator, so reaching the rooms on the first floor from the ground-floor lounges requires using the original period staircases. However, the incredibly welcoming staff ensures that handling luggage is never an issue. Breakfast was a truly delightful experience, as one would expect when dining in a Michelin-starred establishment. The pastry cart, filled with brioches, was simply incredible! <3 You can find a review of the restaurant in the "Restaurants" section. If we ever return to the Hauts-de-France region, a stay here is definitely on our "must-do" list.
